Kathmandu: The grounds of Premier International School in Satdobato came alive with energy, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship as Division A of District 41 hosted the third season of the Nepal Toastmasters Futsal Tournament. What unfolded was not merely a competitive sporting event, but a vibrant celebration of the core Toastmasters values of community, collaboration, and camaraderie.
The tournament brought together over 120 registered players representing 12 teams from Toastmasters clubs across Nepal. Participants ranged from seasoned Toastmasters to newer members, all united by a shared love for sport and fellowship. The atmosphere throughout the day reflected healthy competition balanced with mutual respect, encouragement, and teamwork, qualities deeply ingrained in the Toastmasters ethos.
After a series of exciting matches, the tournament concluded with an intense final showdown between Lalitpur Lions and 8849 FC. Lalitpur Lions emerged victorious, lifting the championship trophy amid loud cheers and applause from fellow Toastmasters and supporters. The final match was a testament to skill, strategy, and teamwork, keeping spectators engaged until the very end.
In addition to team achievements, individual excellence was also recognized. Toastmaster Abhinav Shrestha of 8849 FC (Everest Toastmasters Club) was named the Best Player of the Tournament for his outstanding performance and leadership on the field. The Best Female Player award went to Soni Chaurasia from BVS Knights (Brihaspati Toastmasters Club), highlighting the growing and impactful participation of women in Toastmasters sports initiatives. Sujal Sahi of Lalitpur Lions (Lalitpur Toastmasters Club) claimed the title of Highest Goal Scorer, showcasing remarkable consistency and attacking prowess throughout the tournament.

Strategic partners including Dabur Nepal, Vision Sign, Nepal Mediciti, and Vision Creation also played a crucial role in ensuring smooth execution. Organized annually by Division A of District 41, the Nepal Toastmasters Futsal Tournament has grown into a much-awaited tradition. Each year, it reinforces the idea that Toastmasters is not just about public speaking and leadership titles, but also about fostering relationships that extend beyond professional boundaries.
With more than 65 active Toastmasters clubs across Nepal, initiatives like the annual futsal tournament play a vital role in strengthening inter-club bonds. While Toastmasters is widely recognized for shaping confident communicators and effective leaders, such events add a meaningful social dimension to the journey. By playing together, volunteering together, and celebrating together, members transform professional networks into lasting friendships.
As Season 3 of the Nepal Toastmasters Futsal Tournament concluded, it left behind more than memories of thrilling matches. It reinforced the essence of Toastmasters as a close-knit community built on teamwork, trust, and shared values, proving that leadership lessons are sometimes best learned on the playing field.
